Autumn witch hats at the pumpkin patch

There is a certain kind of magic that belongs to autumn. It lives in the golden light across an open field, in the crisp mornings. It is the season of finding delight in things that otherwise might go unnoticed. Sometimes all it takes is a hat.

I sewed these quilted witch hats with that gentle kind of magic in mind. Nothing

frightening or too serious. Just a little whimsy, a touch of storybook charm, and something that invites the imagination to wander. Children running in the crisp autumn evening with golden rays shining on their faces; sounds of laughter dancing in the air. It is a quiet invitation to dream. The simple delight of a handmade witch hat allows a quiet experience of autumn pleasures.

A quilted witch hat finds a tree of enchantment.

Every scarecrow needs a good hat!

I like the idea of seasonal pieces that appeal to the imagination, and the home. These witch hats have a quiet sophistication alongside a bit of wonder. A little autumn enchantment, ready to be worn, displayed, and brought out again when the season returns.

They invite us to pause, to play, and to see familiar things a little differently. And perhaps, when we make room for those small moments of enchantment, we give ourselves permission to hold onto a little of childhood wonder, too. After all, autumn has always had a bit of magic about it.

Sometimes, we just need a little hat to find it.

Happy quiltin!
